Blackburn Rovers forward El Hadji Diouf looks set to raise a few more hackles on Merseyside, after claiming that it is not difficult to win at Liverpool any more.

The former Reds striker, who during a three-year spell at Anfield never looked anything like a player worth the £10 million Liverpool paid RC Lens for his services in 2002, claims that Rovers are far from scared about travelling to face Rafael Benitez's men.

Sam Allardyce's side have not won at Anfield since 1993, but the often controversial Diouf feels that that record could be about to change.

Often a target for jeers at away grounds, the Senegalese also insists that he can handle any boos which are directed his way.

"It is not difficult to go there and get a result," he told The Lancashire Telegraph.

"In England, everyone can beat anyone else. You see it season after season, a team like Watford will beat Manchester Untied even though they're going down.

"The boos are no problem. If I didn't get that, I couldn't play. I need people to give me that.

"I am a man and I need to show to the people I am a man."
